Mattricker.org is a personal blog run by Matt Ricker, a graduate of Iona College in New Rochelle in 2018. He has a degree in Mass Communication in Broadcast Media and a minor in Media, Politics and Society. In his time at Iona, Matt had a radio show on WICR, was involved in the TV Station (ICTV) and wrote for the school newspaper “The Ionian.”
Matt interned at Fox News in NYC for two semesters. In the Fall of 2017, he worked in the Editing Dept in which he would edit SOTs/VOs as well as packages for many shows on both Fox News and Fox Business Network. In the Spring of 2018, Matt stayed at Fox News but this time he was placed on “Your World with Neil Cavuto.” In this position, he would help with Neil’s social media, develop research packets and edit clips for air as well as contribute and edit the rundown.
Currently, Matt works as the Employee Benefits Clerk at the City School District of New Rochelle. He has been there for the past ten years working in various departments. In addition, Matt hosts a radio show, “The Chamber Show” on WVOX (1460 AM) twice a month, every second and fourth Monday each month. You can listen LIVE here: https://onlineradiobox.com/us/wviphd2/
In the past, Matt contributed to a weekly radio show on “Iona College Radio Hour” on WVOX (1460 AM) in which he discussed politics.
